We are still here

So, after a false prophet decieves the world by claiming he knew the date of the rapture, we are - still here. Now, I must admit, I'm grieved in my spirit by his actions; it was not biblical and cost a lot of people a lot of money, ridicule, etc. But, you know what, I think the greatest shame to arise from this fiasco is that the non-christian world doesn't necessarily recognize the difference between this failed prophet and the authentic Christ followers. So, the already cynical world backlashes into even greater cynicism over the message of the Rapture. (Which will most definitely happen in God's timing) So, our job as the true followers of Christ is even more timely now. We must pray for and work toward two things. First, that the followers of Christ do not become disillusioned by this and fail to walk in a state of readiness. Second, that we build relationships that are authentic with those in our sphere of influence so that we can reaffirm the true message of the rapture. Jesus is coming for His church, let's do all that we can to see that the true message is declared, even more so in this day of deception.
